Podiatrists and chiropodists can use the CellSonic machine, CellSploder and CellSonic creams.
Broken bones in the feet and hands can be healed in the same way as treating larger limb bones. The 20 mm focus head will reach to most feet and hand bones.
Diabetic ulcers often develop on the feet and often the only way to cure them is with shockwaves from the CellSonic machine. The infinity shockhead will kill infection and promote vascularisation to bring blood to the deprived area. We observe that wounds open to clean air that are allowed to dry will heal better and quicker than wounds that are bandaged and kept damp with ointments. Bandages need only be used when the patient is likely to encounter dirt and might cause further damage by knocking the wound.
Surface infection such as athlete's foot and verucas can be cured with CellSploder. The feet must be washed and dried thoroughly. Run the treatment head over the infected areas in accordance with the CellSploder instructions. After treatment wear clean socks and shoes to avoid getting re-infected. Treat weekly until the infection has gone. Three treatments will be enough depending how severe the growth had become.
A common use of focussed shockwaves is to remove the calcification of heel spur. Radial shockwaves are unable to concentrate on the spur in the way that focussed waves do. Therefore use the CellSonic machine with a 20 mm head for this application rather than SynchroWave. Radial waves do as their name suggests, they radiate out from the surface of the skin and rapidly loose strength.
